This album cover was inspired by the work on Louise Fili and combines illustration with hand lettering. The title of the album, Cittá d’ acqua (meaning City of Water), was inspired by the streets of water in Venice. After choosing to center my design around Venice, I created a font that has an almost whimsical feel to go along with the flow of the water background. I also chose to create a record to fit the early 1930’s theme of my album. Along with this I continued my designs to the inside pocket of the album so that the line art was visible when you look inside the pocket.
